Addendum:
This text predates the first post "Digital Glass" - it was written a year ago, as an 'Opinion' piece for Computer Arts magazine, who had previously done an article on Fuse and Research Studios and wanted a reflection on the current state of typography. This, I attempted to do, albeit in a more elliptical way. However, the piece got edited to ruin (IMHO), and the title changed, and seeing as it (hopefully) informs many of the ideas and questions contained in "Digital Glass" I am pleased that it can now appear here as intended. I have no axe to grind with Computer Arts as a publication and I thought it would be OK to offset the software analyses something more "substrata".
Anyway, the relationship between typography and sound needs developing...
